Black Outside. Pure Copper Inside.

Most "copper" bracelets you buy online are thin plating over cheap metal. Scratch one and you find out what you actually paid for.
This one isn't plated. The black sits on the outside as a finish. Underneath, the links are 99.9% pure copper, and the inner plate is stamped with the word COPPER in letters you can feel with a thumbnail.

What You're Looking At

  • Black on the outside. Matte, no gloss. From across a room it looks like a watch strap, which is why men who don't wear jewelry end up wearing this one.
  • Pure copper on the inside. 99.9%, and it warms up against your wrist in about a minute. After a few months the black starts thinning along the edges and thin copper lines come through.
  • 22 magnets, set flush. Elliptical, 5,000 gauss each, seated into the links along the inside face. Drag a finger across it and you won't feel a bump. The one in the photo holding a 200g weight is the same bracelet that arrives in the box.
  • A clasp off a dress watch. Fold-over with a safety latch. One click, sits flat, doesn't grab your shirt cuff. Most bracelets in this category use a lobster claw that snags on everything.
  • 14.7mm wide. Wide enough to read as a men's bracelet. Narrow enough to disappear under a sleeve.

Sizing

8.27 inches laid flat, fits wrists up to 8.5. You get a link-removal tool, two spare pins, and a two-minute video.

Water

Splash-resistant, not waterproof. Take it off for showers, swimming, and dishes. The black lasts longer that way, and so do the magnets. That's the only rule.

How it ages

Copper changes color. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something else.
The black slows that down. It doesn't stop it. First the edges of the clasp go warm, then the corners of the links. After a few months you'll have thin copper lines running through the black, and the bracelet stops looking new and starts looking handled.
Some men hate that. Some men wait for it. Wipe it with the cloth every couple of weeks and it'll outlast whatever made you buy it.

If you're buying it for him

He has enough things. What he doesn't have is something he'll actually put on.
This is that, mostly because it doesn't look like jewelry. It looks like a watch strap. Men who won't wear a chain will wear this. Men who do wear a chain will notice the weight before anything else.
Two things to sort out before you order.
His wrist size. Measure the bracelet he already wears, laid flat. If he doesn't wear one, wrap a paper strip around his wrist while he's asleep.
Showers. He has to take it off, and if he's the type who never removes anything, tell him now instead of after.
It ships in a black gift box with the tool and the cloth, so it doesn't arrive looking like a bag of parts.
Father's Day, a birthday, an anniversary, or a Tuesday.

Frequently asked questions

I’ve bought copper jewelry before and it was a letdown. Why would yours be any different?

Most likely, what you bought wasn’t really copper. A lot of “copper” online is a thin plating over brass or zinc — it looks right for a few weeks, then the coating wears through.

Ours is solid copper the whole way through. Cut one in half and it’s copper all the way to the middle.

That’s the whole difference. A plated piece flakes. Solid copper ages into a patina that keeps deepening the longer you wear it.

Does copper actually do anything?

I get asked this more than anything, and there’s no neat answer — only a very long history.

Copper is a mineral your body actually needs. And people have pressed it against their skin for thousands of years: Egyptian tombs, Roman soldiers, the bangle a grandmother slipped onto her daughter’s wrist without ever explaining why.

I’ve never promised anyone a result — that isn’t mine to promise. What I notice is simpler: they keep it on because of how it feels, and because taking it off stops feeling right. Wear one for a month and you’ll have a better answer than I can give you.

Is there any real evidence behind copper jewelry?

Formal studies have come back mixed. I won’t pretend otherwise.

What’s harder to dismiss is how often copper against skin turns up — Egyptian tombs, Roman legions, Ayurvedic medicine, Navajo silversmiths. Civilizations that never met each other arrived at the same habit anyway.

They weren’t running trials. They were repeating what their mothers did. The people who end up wearing it usually tried everything else first, and then a friend handed them a bracelet. Three thousand years of people quietly refusing to stop is a strange thing to wave away.

How do I take care of it?

You can check my full copper care guide by clicking here.

Can I wear it in the shower, or swimming?

Yes. Solid copper doesn’t mind water — people have worn it fishing, farming and swimming for centuries.

Two things worth knowing. Salt water and chlorine both speed up the patina, so a summer of daily swims darkens it faster than normal wear. That’s the metal reacting to its environment, not damage.

If you like the bright look, rinse with fresh water after the sea or a pool and dry it properly. Otherwise, wear it and forget about it.

Will it turn my skin green?

It can — and it isn’t an allergy.

The mark is copper carbonate, the same compound that turned the Statue of Liberty green. Sweat, hand cream and hot weather make it more likely. Soap and water takes it off.

Most people see it once or twice, then never again once the surface settles. If it keeps bothering you, a thin coat of clear nail polish on the inside of a cuff does the job.

Why isn’t this cheaper? I’ve seen copper bracelets for five dollars.

You have — and those are plated. That’s most of the gap right there.

Solid copper costs several times a plated blank before anyone touches it, and every piece is shaped, finished and checked by hand rather than stamped out by the thousand.

We’re not the cheapest copper you’ll find. We’re about the cheapest that’s actually copper.

How long does shipping take?

US & UK: 5–10 business days

Canada, Australia, New Zealand & rest of world: 6–12 business days

Free shipping on orders over $59.99. Below that, the flat rate shows at checkout before you pay. Tracking is emailed the moment your order leaves us.

What if it doesn’t fit, or I just don’t like it?

Send it back within 30 days and we’ll refund you in full. Doesn’t fit, not what you pictured, changed your mind — all fine, and you don’t have to explain.

Same promise that’s on every product page. It works because almost nobody uses it.

Anything I should know before wearing the magnetic styles?

Yes, and it’s worth reading. Don’t wear magnetic jewelry if you have a pacemaker, an implanted defibrillator or an insulin pump, take it off before an MRI, and if you’re pregnant, check with your doctor first.

Everything else about those pieces is the same: solid copper, same finishing, same guarantee.
